Research background
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound 157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide derived from a protective protein found in gastric juice. It has been the subject of numerous in vitro and animal model studies examining its role in tissue homeostasis, angiogenesis modulation, and cytoprotective mechanisms.
Preclinical research has explored its interaction with the NO-system, growth hormone receptors, and various growth factors. Studies in rodent models have investigated its effects on musculoskeletal tissue, the gastrointestinal tract, and the central nervous system under controlled laboratory conditions.
