Research background
TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of the naturally occurring thymic peptide Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), specifically the actin-binding domain. Tβ4 is one of the most abundant intracellular peptides in mammalian cells and plays a critical role in the organisation of the actin cytoskeleton.
In vitro studies have investigated TB-500's role in cell migration, angiogenesis, and inflammation modulation. Research in animal models has examined its interaction with tissue repair cascades, particularly in cardiac and skeletal muscle models.
